In the field of warm Saturdays, the dry spells of my memory make it always “right now.” There is a gentle breeze that feels sent from someone very far away who wants the best for me. In this clear tide pool of not much thinking, everything is as it appears on its face. The sky is just as it seems, turning blood orange and mauve in the sunset sunrise, the constant end-beginning-end. And now, I’m ready to sleep; the world does not need me around to observe it anymore. My job is obsolete. This familiar park has nothing left to say. The palm fronds shedding like dogs have nothing left to say.
